C) He is a fashion photographer that is best known for his experimental vision constantly pushing the conventional idea of what beauty is, he does a lot of portrait works that hides the faces of the women in his photos. I find this to be really very interesting because of the fact that when you think of taking some ones portrait the first thing you think about when trying to capture a person in a photograph is their face and eyes. These happened to be the two things he is trying to hide in some of his portraits. This detaches you from the person in the photograph but intrigues you at the same time, making you wonder who they might be or why their face is hidden. This is an aspect I would like to explore in our portrait project. It is also very clear that his scenes are constructed although the girl in the photo looks like she is outside she is in the studio. He is very much in control of the shot that he wants and gets. The color contributes a lot to this pictures and you questioning whether she is outside or not, also because she is smoking a cigarette. But the high contrast of the color and the image really pulls you in because it makes it so striking the rich colors entice you to continue looking at the image. The line of this photograph is also very nice the way the body is placed it balances the entire image beautifully with the perfect amount of negative space in relationship to her body. The shallow depth of field in this image is also contributing to how well the entire image comes together. He has also explored with some silhouette portraits that I am interested in experimenting with as well. It is the whole portrait without a face concept that I find really intriguing the anonymity of it I think is really interesting.
